At the base of all this is the Medimate Multireader®, a manageable instrument to measure concentrations of certain substances in the blood. The first product that Medimate offers is a self check on lithium levels. This makes it possible to measure lithium levels at home and as well as at the psychiatrists. Both Medimate and the psychiatry expect that this will increase the effectiveness of using lithium and will help prevent intoxications. It is believed to enhance the quality of life of the patient and decease the number of intoxications.
